On 13th June 1958, Mr. Oiva Pietarinen founded a general partnership called Masino. The company’s first product was the German JLO two-stroke engine, which was used in garden rotavators and later in pumps used by the fire brigade. One of the most significant milestones in the company’s history was becoming the representative for Voith in Finland in the 1960’s.
Selling such branded products paved the way for the Group’s current quality concept, which has enabled the Group to obtain the dealership of several other major brands.
The end of the 80’s and the whole of the 90’s were a period of ongoing growth. Masino acquired new product groups, often through acquisitions, and this development eventually led to the creation of the current group structure.
Today, the seven independent companies within the Masino Group comprise a versatile technological wholesale business that employs around 110 people. Our determination to keep up with the latest developments in our field and our willingness to provide a tailored service to our customers form a good basis for future growth.
